Charlotte, North Carolina - Kingsborough Community College Baseball sophomore Andrew Arditto added another accolade to his outstanding 2024 campaign, being named to the NJCAA Division III All-America Second Team as announced by the NJCAA. Arditto is the second straight player from the Wave program to receive All-American Second Team accolades after Francesco Bonvini grabbed them in 2023.
Arditto was a terror at the plate for the Wave during the 2024 season, leading the Wave in batting average (.438) and slugging percentage (.787) while tying for first with four triples. The 2024 CUNYAC Community College Player of the Year was also second in on base percentage (.606), doubles (11), and home runs (4) while ranking third on the team in RBIs with 36.
The 2024 All-Region 15 First Team selection registered 12 multi-RBI games, including two in the 2024 Region 15 Championship game and a season-best five runs batted in during a 25-5 victory over Queensborough Community College on April 5th. The sophomore also finished in the top five in two statistical categories at the end of the season, ranking second nationally in on base percentage (.606) and fifth in the country in slugging percentage (.787) while also leading the Wave to their third consecutive CUNYAC Community College Baseball Championship and second straight Region XV title.
