CUNYAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Kareem McDonald, Hunter

Kareem McDonald scored a season-high 26 points with 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals in Hunter’s 83-77 victory over Albertus Magnus, handing the Falcons just their second loss on the season.

CUNYAC Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week

In York’s non-conference win at Merchant Marine, the rookie produced 11 points, five rebounds and three assists. Two days later at West Conn, he finished with nine points, three rebounds and two assists. He closed out the slate with 10 points, five assists and three rebounds against Drew.
 
CUNYAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week – Honorable Mention
Olawale Kila, York
Sr., Lagos, Nigeria / Broome Street Academy Charter
 
In York’s come-from-behind win at Merchant Marine, Kila produced 19 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. He followed that up with a 16-point, 13-rebound performance at West Conn. The following day against Drew, he dropped a career-high 38 points with eight rebounds. 
 
The 2024 CUNYAC Men’s Basketball Championship is scheduled for Feb. 17-23. First Round action begins on Saturday, Feb. 17, at higher seeds, followed by the semifinal round on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at higher seeds. The tournament finale will be held on Friday, Feb. 23 at CCNY.
