Lanasia Drain, Hostos

Lanasia Drain had a breakout week for the Caimans, posting back-to-back double-doubles for the No. 9 team in the nation. Against Monroe-Bronx, she scored 12 points while pulling down 13 rebounds. Closing out the week with a win over Passaic, the forward went for 19 points and a career-high 21 rebounds.

Emily Kennedy, BMCC

During the Panther's two contests last week, Emily Kennedy continued to build on her strong start to the second half of the season. The Brooklyn, New York native put up a career-high 22 points and her second straight 20-point effort against 15 Monroe-Bronx. Kennedy also hauled in six rebounds and recorded two steals and a block in the contest. Against Raritan Valley C.C., the freshman forward finished with 19 points, eight rebounds, six steals and five assists.
 
The 2023 CUNYAC Community College Women’s Basketball Championship is scheduled to begin with semifinal action on Tuesday, Feb. 14, followed by the final on Friday, Feb. 17. The semifinals and final will be played at Kingsborough Community College.
