CUNYAC Women’s Indoor Track & Field - Track Athlete of the Week
Ayaya Orwa, Hunter
Fr., Eden Prairie, N.Y. / Eagle Ridge Academy
In her collegiate debut at the Rutgers Holiday Classic, Ayaya Orwa turned in the league’s fastest times in the 60m (8.91) and 200m (30.19) races. She also produced the conference’s best leaps in the long jump (4.53m) and triple jump (8.92m).

At the season-opening Youree Spence-Garcia Invitational, Uzoma Ikeanusi turned in a top-25 performance in the weight throw (9.55m).

Nidia Nelson, Lehman

In her collegiate debut at the season-opening Youree Spence-Garcia Invitational, Nidia Nelson produced the league’s top throw in the shot put (7.07m).
The 2023 CUNYAC Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championship is scheduled for Sunday, February 26 at The New Balance Track & Field Center.
ABOUT THE CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK ATHLETIC CONFERENCE (CUNYAC)
The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) is an NCAA Division III and NJCAA Division III conference with 14 members that reach across all five boroughs of New York City.
