Bronx's Ohio Field Infield Receives Major Overhaul; Construction Officially Complete

Ohio Fieldhome of the Broncos baseball and men's soccer teams, received a major overhaul, as construction of its new infield has been completed.

"We are grateful and excited following the reconstruction of the Ohio Field infield," said athletics director Ryan McCarthy. "This project was a long time coming and will result in our team having one of the nicest natural grass infields throughout the region."

Renovations to the field included the replacement of the infield glass with new natural sod, leveled out with soil beneath, the replacement of infield dirt, and a newly-constructed pitcher's mound and batter's box. With Ohio Field being a dual-use field, it will also result in a more level surface for Broncos men's soccer.

The Broncos baseball team most recently won the CUNYAC title during the 2019 campaign, while the men's soccer squad saw a four-win improvement from 2018 to 2019, which were the last two seasons that were played.
