Pablo Oliveira earns his fifth CUNYAC Player of the Week honor despite a 1-2 week for the Nationally-ranked (#7 AVCA) Bearcats. The 6'4" outside hitter from Uberlandia, Brazil was simply amazing against two opponents ranked in the top five by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
First, in a four set battle against #5 NYU, the senior All-American notched 19 kills (40 attempts, nine errors), hitting .429 and added eight digs. Closing out the week versus #1 Springfield, he totaled 18 kills and two service aces. For the seven games (he did not play vs. City Tech) he averaged 5.29 kills and 1.71 digs per game.

The Lightning have won four straight matches, including three last week as they topped Medgar Evers in CUNY action, where Miguel Gallardo led the way with 55 assists. In a second match that day, the setter from the Bronx had 15 service aces, which included ten straight to open the match, in a straight set victory over St. Joseph's (Brooklyn). Lehman finished up the week with a five set victory over Mount St. Vincent, where he 44 assists and 13 digs.
