NEW YORK – Baruch baseball senior Joseph Cocozza has earned a bevy of postseason awards, highlighted by being named a D3baseball.com All-American as a Fifth Team selection. Cocozza was also named First Team All-Region IV by the website, while teammate Joseph Bello was named Third Team All-Region.
Cocozza was also named a First Team All-Region selection by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and was named All-ECAC as well.
The 2025 CUNY Athletic Conference Player of the Year, the third time he has earned that honor, Cocozza finished the season batting .459, ranking seventh nationally. Cocozza totaled two home runs and drove in 39 runs on the season, finishing with 56 total hits and a 1.270 OPS. Cocozza also ranked among the national leaders in on-base percentage (.540) and slugging percentage (.730).
Bello, named Third Team All-Region as a Utility selection, batted .277 on the season with three home runs and 31 runs batted in as a catcher. On the mound, in nine relief appearances, Belo posted a 3.22 earned run average and registered four saves, holding opponents to a .213 batting average.
Baruch won its sixth CUNYAC title in program history and first since 2022 this past season. The Bearcats won 11 of their final 12 games.
