John Jay Earns Top Seed in 2025 CUNYAC Softball Championship

NEW YORK- Defending CUNY Athletic Conference softball champion John Jay has earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming 2025 CUNYAC Softball Championship, which will be held at Brooklyn College May 8-9.  The Bearcats posted a perfect 10-0 conference record, the first team to post an unblemished conference mark since Hunter in 2022.

The Hawks (7-3) have earned the No. 2 seed, with Brooklyn (6-4) claiming the third seed.  Baruch (5-5) rounds out the four-team field.

The double-elimination tournament begins Thursday, May 8 at 11 am with John Jay taking on Baruch.  Hunter and Brooklyn will meet at 1:15 pm, with the losers of the two opening games meeting in an elimination game at 3:30 pm.  The winners' bracket final takes place at 5:45 pm Thursday evening.

Friday begins with the loser of game 4 taking on the winner of game 3 at 11 am.  At 1:15, the winner of that game takes on the lone unbeaten team, with an "if-necessary" game to take place following that game if the losers' bracket winner takes game 6.
