CUNYAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field - Track Athlete of the Week
Toshel Goffe, Medgar Evers

Goffe took first place at the Gallaudet Bison Classic in the 200-meter dash, running a meet-record time of 25.78 seconds.  She also placed seventh in the 400 with a time of 59.55 seconds.  Both times are currently tops in the CUNYAC.


CUNYAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field - Field Athlete of the Week
Nia Butler, Medgar Evers
 
Butler placed sixth at Gallaudet in both the hammer throw (31.49 meters) and the shot put (8.43 meters).  She also posted marks of 20.42 meters in the discus and 13.41 meters in the javelin.  Her hammer throw is currently No. 1 in the conference, while her discus toss is second in the CUNYAC to date.

CUNYAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field - Rookie of the Week
Thenica Thompson, Medgar Evers

Thompson ran a 13.25-second time in the 100-meter dash prelims at the Bison Invitational and placed eighth in the finals (13.32).  She came in second in the 200 (27.10) and fifth in the long jump (4.38 meters).  Thompson also anchored the first place 4x100 relay that ran a time of 53.01 seconds.  Her 100-meter time is tops in the conference while her 200-meter effort sits No. 2.

CUNYAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field - Honorable Mention
Jamie Risso, Hunter

At the University of Hartford Rage in the Cage Invitational, Risso took down first in the 400-meter hurdles, running a time of 1:10.30, currently tops in the conference.  She anchored the Hawks' 4x100 relay that posted a time of 55.20 seconds, while she clocked a 13.64-second effort in the 100-meter dash, currently the third-best time in the conference.
