Baruch Advances in NCAA Men's Volleyball Championship with 3-1 Win

- CUNY Athletic Conference men's volleyball champion Baruch advanced to the second round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship with a 3-1 victory over Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference champion Buffalo State on Thursday at NYU's Paulson Center.  Set scores were 19-25, 25-22, 25-18, 26-24.

The Bearcats (18-11) advance to face top-ranked and host NYU on Friday at 4 pm. The Bengals see their season come to a close at 20-12.

Noah Pak led Baruch with 15 kills as he hit .462 for the match.  He also contributed 14 digs and four service aces.  Argjend Osmanaj notched 12 kills, with CUNYAC Player of the Year Peter Gavroff adding 10.  Ryan Oommen finished with 42 assists, while Haoxin Hu led the way at the net for Baruch with six blocks.

The Bearcats trailed 16-12 midway through the fourth set as Buffalo State battled to stay alive, but a Pak kill tied the set 19-19 to cap a 7-3 run.  With the set tied 24-24, the Bearcats registered the final two points, with a Gavroff kill ending things.

Baruch hit .324 for the match and held the Bengals to .282.
