CUNYAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field - Track Athlete of the Week
Reco Griffith - Medgar Evers

Griffith finished third in the 60-meter dash at the Frank Colden Invitational, posting a time of 7.08 seconds.  In the 200 he placed second with a time of 22.95 seconds (converted to 22.55).  Griffith also was part of the Cougars' 4x400 meter relay team that was fifth with a time of 3:37.94.

Dontay Washington - Medar Evers

Washington finished fifth at the Frank Colden Invitational in the pentathlon with an MEC-record 2,335 points.  His high jump mark of 1.70 meters was first among pentathlon competitors while his long jump mark of 5.63 meters was third and his CUNYAC-qualifying time of 9.81 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles was good for fourth.  Washington also recorded a pole vault mark of 2.45 meters, currently No. 2 in the conference.
 
CUNYAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field - Rookie of the Week
Omari Hinds - Medgar Evers
 
Hinds finished second at the Frank Colden Invitational in the long jump with a leap of 6.74 meters, currently the top mark in the conference.  His triple jump mark of 11.94 meters is currently No. 3 in the CUNYAC as he placed eighth at the meet.  Hinds posted times of 24.01 seconds in the 200 (converted to 23.59) and the 400 (57.83, converted to 56.93) and placed eighth in the high jump with a 1.50 meter jump.  He was also part of the MEC 4x400 that finished fifth with a time of 3:37.94.

Richard Reyes, York

Reyes placed second in the 1000-meter run at the Big Apple Invitational with a time of 2:56.14.  He also posted a time of 5:02.09 in the mile, currently the No. 3 time in the event in the conference.
