Ricardo Villanueva Takes The Reins Of The BMCC Cross Country & Track & Field Program

New York, New York – The Borough of Manhattan Community College Department of Athletics and Recreation family is pleased to announce the hiring of Ricardo Villanueva as head coach of the Panther's Cross County and Track and Field program.

"I am very excited to bring Ricardo on board," said Matthew Ruiz, Director of Athletics & Recreation at BMCC. "His passion and knowledge of running will help us continue to build upon our early success in our Cross Country and Track & Field Programs."

Villanueva joins the college ranks after a successful stint at the high school level, most recently at The Calhoun School in New York, New York and before as a coaching intern at Frenship High School in Wolfforth, Texas where at both schools helped numerous runners break several school records and qualify for post season competition.

Villanueva received a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Tech University in 2019 and completed his Master's of Education in Sports Administration from Angelo State University in 2022.
