Sofia Soric, York

Soric had a strong week for the Cardinals, hitting .529 with nine hits, 10 runs scored, eight RBI and nine stolen bases. In an 18-15 victory at home to Yeshiva, Soric 3-for-5 with three runs, two RBI and two stolen bases. In game two, she tallied two runs, two RBI and three stolen bags. Later in the week in a road doubleheader against the Maccabees, Soric again went 3-for-5, scoring four runs, stealing three bases, and accumulating four RBI. She added another RBI triple in game two of the afternoon.

Grace Basil, Hunter

In 5.0 innings of work at Stevens, Basil scattered five hits and was charged for only two earned runs.
CUNYAC Softball Rookie of the Week
Remedios Garcia, York
Fr., Queens, N.Y. / Veritas Academy
Garcia went 9-18 with 10 runs scored, five RBI and seven stolen bases across six games for the Cardinals.
The 2024 double-elimination CUNYAC Softball Championship is slated to begin on Thursday, May 9 and conclude on Friday, May 10 at Brooklyn College.
