CUNYAC Baseball Player of the Week
Michael Chasanov, CCNY
Jr., Northbrook, Ill. / Glenbrook North
 
Chasanov hit .600 (6-10) with two RBI and two runs scored in a three-game week for the Beavers. In the team’s first win of the season against Yeshiva, the junior went 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored and one run batted in. In a doubleheader against Plattsburgh, he went 3-for-6 with an extra-base hit and one RBI.
 
CUNYAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Rich Frommelt, Lehman
Sr., Yorktown, N.Y. / Somers
 
Frommelt made two appearances on the mound, notching six strikeouts across 7.0 innings. In a relief appearance against Saint Elizabeth, he retired three straight batters in his lone inning of work. He followed that up with six strong innings against Mount Saint Vincent, striking out five while being charged with only three earned runs.
 
CUNYAC Baseball Rookie of the Week
Kenneth Pastrana, Baruch
Fr., Central Islip, N.Y. / Islip
 
Pastrana hit .300 for the Bearcats with two runs scored and one RBI. His best game came in the second game of a doubleheader against Pitt-Bradford, when he went 2-for-3 at the plate with two runs scored.

The four-team 2024 CUNYAC Baseball Championship is scheduled for May 7-11 with first round action slated for Tuesday, May 7 at higher seeds. The best-of-three championship series is set for Friday, May 10 at Maimonides Park, with an if necessary third game slated for Saturday, May 11.

The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) is an NCAA Division III and NJCAA Division III conference with 14 members that reach across all five boroughs of New York City.
