CUNYAC Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week
Ray Rodriguez, Lehman
Jr., Bronx, N.Y. / Bronx Leadership Academy
In a 2-1 week for the Lightning, Rodriguez accumulated 27 kills and 35 digs. He turned in a standout performance against Brooklyn, posting a .351 hitting percentage with 16 kills and 22 digs.
CUNYAC Men’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Aaron Siu, Brooklyn
Fr., Staten Island, N.Y. / Brooklyn Technical
Siu averaged 10.5 kill and 14 digs in a 1-1 week for the Bulldogs. At Lehman, he finished with 14 kills and 17 digs. Two days later against CCNY, he hit .286 with seven kills and 11 digs in a 3-0 conference win.
CUNYAC Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)
David Heyliger Jr., York
Jr., St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands / Charlotte Amalie
In York’s first win of the season at Medgar Evers, Heyliger hit .306 with 17 kills and 12 digs. He began the week with six kills and eight digs in a loss to Hunter.
The 2024 CUNYAC Men’s Volleyball Championship is scheduled for April 9-12. First Round action begins on Tuesday, Apr. 9, at higher seeds, followed by the semifinal round on Thursday, Apr. 11 at higher seeds. The tournament finale will be held on Friday, Apr. 12 at Baruch College.
ABOUT THE CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK ATHLETIC CONFERENCE (CUNYAC)
The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) is an NCAA Division III and NJCAA Division III conference with 14 members that reach across all five boroughs of New York City.
