CUNYAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Kai Parris, Lehman
Jr., Bronx, N.Y. / Riverdale Kingsbridge Academy  
 
Parris led Lehman to a 2-0 week, averaging 24.0 points and 7.5 rebounds. In a home win against John Jay, the forward scored a game-high 28 points with eight rebounds, four blocks and two assists. Parris closed out the week at Hunter with 20 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in the victory.

CUNYAC Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week
Aidony Nivar, York
Fr., Santo Domingo, DR / Broome Street Academy
 
Nivar averaged 22.0 points in a pair of road conference contests for the Cardinals. At Brooklyn, he scored a game-high 21 points with six rebounds and four assists. Two days later at Baruch, the rookie finished with a game-high 23 points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal.

CUNYAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Yassine Sakhi, CCNY
Sr., New York, N.Y. / Manhattan Center for Science & math  
 
Sakhi averaged 19.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in a 2-0 week for the Beavers. Against Hunter, the guard produced 19 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Three days later at John Jay, Sakhi finished with 19 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. 
 
The 2024 CUNYAC Men’s Basketball Championship is scheduled for Feb. 17-23. First Round action begins on Saturday, Feb. 17, at higher seeds, followed by the semifinal round on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at higher seeds. The tournament finale will be held on Friday, Feb. 23 at CCNY.
