FLUSHING, N.Y. - Baruch has been selected to win its fourth consecutive CUNYAC men's basketball title in the 2024-25 CUNYAC men's basketball poll released recently.
The Bearcats garnered a total of 31 points to outdistance CCNY (29), Lehman (25), Hunter (16) and Brooklyn (14).
Baruch, which has captured the last three CUNYAC titles and four of the past five, finished 19-9 overall and 13-1 in CUNYAC play a season ago. The Bearcats downed Lehman 73-71 in last season's CUNYAC title game before falling to second-ranked Randolph-Macon in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
The 2025 CUNYAC Men's Basketball Championship is set to begin with a pair of first round games on Saturday, February 22. The semifinals are slated for Tuesday, February 25, with the conference title game set for Friday, February 28 at Baruch.

CUNYAC Men's Basketball Players to Watch
Gerard Nicholson (Baruch) - Nicholson averaged 6.9 points and 3.1 assists per game for the Bearcats last season as Baruch won its third straight conference title. In nine games in 2024-25 the senior is averaging 19.2 ppg.
Malik Dale (Brooklyn) - Dale earned CUNYAC First Team All-Star honors last season. He started all but one game and averaged 15.9 points and 2.2 rebounds per game for the Bulldogs.
Ricardo Dixon (CCNY) - Dixon was a Second Team CUNYAC All-Star in 2023-24. Dixon started all 27 games for the Beavers and registered 13.7 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
Casey Meyers (Hunter) - Meyers started all but one game for the Hawks last season and averaged 7.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. He has appeared in 80 games over his first three seasons for Hunter.
Jordan Evelyn (John Jay) - Evelyn recorded 11.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game for the Bloodhounds in 2023-24 while starting all 25 games. He also averaged 4.1 assists and 2.3 steals per contest.
Kai Parris (Lehman) - A CUNYAC First Team All-Star a season ago, Parris ranked third in the conference in scoring at 17.6 ppg, while also grabbing seven rebounds per contest. Parris shot 50.1% from the floor.
Joshua Jean-Pierre (Medgar Evers) - Jean-Pierre averaged 13.6 points and 7.5 rebounds per game for the Cougars, while also placing first in blocks (26), second in steals (30), and third in assists (57).
Aidony Nivar (York) - Nivar, the CUNYAC Rookie of the Year a season ago, was selected Rookie of the Week seven times, averaging 14.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
