FLUSHING, N.Y. (July 5, 2023) - The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) is excited to announce its Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll for the Spring 2023 semester, handing out 507 citations for academic excellence.
The CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll is constructed with student-athletes across 13 member campuses who participate in a varsity-level sport who own a 3.2 or better on a 4.0 scale. The list includes sports that conducted their championship in the winter and spring seasons (men's & women's basketball, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's indoor and outdoor track & field, men's volleyball, baseball, and softball).
"Our CUNYAC student-athletes continue to rise to the challenge and thrive in the classroom," said CUNYAC Associate Director for Operations Kim Wright. "Congratulations to our honorees as they continue to put in championship performances on and off the field."
Hunter turned in a conference-best 91 honorees among the senior colleges, edging out CCNY (90). John Jay produced 79 honorees, followed by Baruch (77), Lehman (53), Brooklyn (47), York (12) and Medgar Evers (10).
Kingsborough finished with 16 honorees to lead the community college division, edging out Queensborough (15). BMCC turned in eight recipients, followed by Hostos (6) and Bronx (3).
Among the 507 honorees, 29 student-athletes finished with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.
Dating back to the Fall, a grand total of 833 student-athletes earned CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll recognition.
