CUNYAC Community College Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week

Savaria Reyes had a strong week for Queensborough as the Tigers turned in an undefeated week (3-0), producing 30 digs, 20 service aces and five assists. The libero recorded 10 digs apiece in victories over BMCC, Kingsborough and Westchester.
CUNYAC Community College Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Tabreanna Walrond, Queensborough
Fr., Saint Albans, N.Y. / Benjamin N. Cardozo
In Queensborough’s 3-0 week, Walrond amassed 11 kills and eight solo blocks. The middle hitter produced five solo blocks in a sweep of Westchester, moving into third-place nationally in the category.
CUNYAC Community College Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Samara Correa, Hostos
Fr., Bronx, N.Y. / Pharos Academy
In the Caimans’ 3-0 win over Bronx, Correa produced 15 assists, seven service aces and two digs.
The 2023 CUNYAC Community College Women’s Volleyball Championship is scheduled for Monday, October 23 at Queensborough Community College.

The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) is an NCAA Division III and NJCAA Division III conference with 14 members that reach across all five boroughs of New York City.
