CUNYAC Announces Fall 2021 Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll

FLUSHING, N.Y. (Mar. 9, 2022) – The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) announces its 2021 Fall Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll for the fall season, handing out 289 citations for classroom excellence during the Fall 2021 semester.
 
The CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll is comprised of student-athletes across all 13 member institutions who participated in a varsity-level sport who own a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or better on a 4.0 scale.
 
"In a very challenging year, it is wonderful to see CUNYAC Student-Athletes continue to excel in the classroom," said CUNYAC Associate Director for Operations Kim Santoiemma. "Congratulations to our honorees as they continue to put in championship performances on and off the field."
 
CCNY turned in a league-best 48 honorees among the senior colleges, followed by John Jay (46), Baruch (42), Lehman (39), Brooklyn (38), Hunter (33), York (14) and Medgar Evers (5). The Bloodhounds posted the highest grade-point average with a 3.68.
 
In the community college division, Queensborough had 14 student-athletes earn Honor Roll status, followed by Bronx (9). The Broncos' Emely Nunez was the lone community college fall student-athlete to post a perfect GPA during the semester.
 
Of the 288 honorees, 16 student-athletes posted a perfect 4.0 GPA, highlighted by eight student-athletes from John Jay and four from CCNY.
