New York, NY - Deanna Sannuti has been named John Jay's Senior Woman Administrator (SWA), Director of Athletics
Cat Alves announced.
"We are pleased that Deanna has agreed to serve as our Senior Woman Administrator and continue her outstanding work as a senior member of our team," Alves stated. " She is an integral member of our staff and will continue to provide our student-athletes, coaches, and our college community by addressing any and all concerns at the conference and national level."
Before arriving at John Jay in 2019, Sannuti served as the Assistant to the Director of Athletics for Administration at the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) as part of the City University of New York (CUNY) system. There, she assisted the Director with compliance under NJCAA rules that included transfer waivers and letters of intent.
"I am honored to be the next Senior Woman Administrator for John Jay Athletics," commented Sannuti.
"I am looking forward to taking on this role while continuing to help shape, mentor, and interact with our tremendous student-athletes. I would like to thank Cat Alves, who has allowed me to grow and embrace this new adventure."
Sannuti is in her fourth year as Assistant Athletic Director of Academic Success, Compliance & Eligibility. She runs all academic and compliance meetings for all student-athletes. Sannuti spearheaded the creation of the 'Leading Bloodhounds Leadership' program while also serving as the campus designee for CUNYAC Sexual Assault and Sexual Misconduct advisor. She is also a member of the John Jay Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee, and also serves on the CUNYAC compliance committee.
Sannuti graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication with a concentration in production. She then graduated from Adelphi University with a Master of Science in Sport Management with a concentration in college athletics.
