CUNYAC/HSS Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Viola Avdyli, Lehman

In Lehman’s lone match of the week, Avdyli turned in a strong performance against Brooklyn. She teamed up with Carolina Lopez for an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles, while earning a 6-0, 6-1 victory against Monica Prado Capon at No. 1 singles.
 
CUNYAC/HSS Women’s Tennis Rookie of the Week
Sevinch Rakhmatdinova, Hunter
Fr., Brooklyn, N.Y. / Fort Hamilton
 
Rakhmatdinova won all four of her contests in an undefeated week for the Hawks (2-0) to remain unbeaten on the year. In a conference win over York, the rookie picked up wins at No. 2 doubles (8-0) and No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-0). She closed out the slate against Bard with a win at No. 2 doubles (8-5) and No. 3 singles (6-3, 6-0).
 
The 2022 CUNYAC/HSS Women’s Tennis Championship will take place from October 23 through October 27. The six-team, single-elimination tournament begins with first round action on Sunday, October 23 hosted by the higher seed, followed by semifinal action on Tuesday, October 25 at the USTA National Center, concluding with the championship match on Thursday, October 27 at the Flushing facility.
