CUNYAC Community College Female Player of the Week
Kiara Reyes, Queensborough Community College
Setter/Sophomore/Queens, New York/Richmond Hill

Kiara Reyes from Queensborough has been named CUNYAC Community College female player of the Week. Reyes continued the Lady Tiger's winning momentum with three big wins this week. The setter accumulated 11 kills, 66 assists, 19 aces, and 18 digs throughout the week. Her standout performance was against Sullivan CC, where she recorded a double double with 15 assists and a career high 11 aces.

CUNYAC Community College Rookie of the Week
Joelle Desrosiers, Queensborough Community College
Middle Hitter/Freshman/Queens, NY/Francis Lewis

Joelle Desrosiers from Queensborough has been named CUNYAC Community College Rookie of the Week. Desrosiers helped the Lady Tigers to three big wins this week. The freshmen middle hitter hit over .700 in each game in the week. She recorded 22 kills with 0 hitting errors for the week. Joelle also chipped in three aces and two blocks. Joelle currently would lead the nation in hitting percentage with a few more attempts to reach the minimum.

On October 4, 2016 the team played at The Swamp and loss to Hostos CC by score of 3 - 0

On Saturday, October 8, 2016 in Brooklyn, the Bronx CC team loss to Kingsborough CC and to Queensborough CC by similar scores of 3 - 0.

On Sunday, October 9, 2016, the Lady Broncos travelled to Suffern, NY. In the first match, they loss to Westchester CC by the score of 3 - 0. In the second match, Rockland CC defeated Bronx CC by score of 3 - 1.

The season record for the Bronx CC Women's Volleyball team is Win - 2 Loss - 11.

Hostos Caiman -
Women’s Volleyball (11-13 Overall) (4-3 CUNYAC)

On October 13, 2016 Hostos Caiman played a tough match in Bayside, NY against Queensborough. The Tigers beat Hostos 3 - 0. Then, October 18, 2016 The Caimans recovered with a victory in the Bronx beating the Broncos 3 - 1.

Kingsborough The Wave -
Women’s Volleyball (4-15 Overall) (2-6 CUNYAC)
Last week: (1-1 Overall) (0-0 CUNYAC)

On October 15, 2016 Kingsborough suffered a loss against Orange Community College scoring 3-1. Kingsborough then recovered their momentum and came home with a victory after playing against Sullivan Community College. The Wave were victorious, 3-0.

Borough of Manhattan Community College -
Women’s Volleyball (11-7 Overall) (5-3 CUNYAC)

On October 15, 2016 The Panthers were scheduled for a double header with Westchester CC Lady Vikings and Rockland CC Hawks. The Panthers dominated the Lady Vikings by scoring 3 -1. The Rockland Hawks however were the winners in the second game against the Panthers beating them 3 - 2. Both matches were played at BMCC’s court.

Queensborough Community College -

On October 13, 2016 The Lady Tigers played against Hostos during the Dig Pink Day where the Lady Tigers dominated the match scoring 3 - 0.

On October 15, 2016 Queensborough was scheduled for a double header against Sullivan CC and Orange CC. The Lady Tigers came home with the win in both matches with the identical score of 3 - 0.

On October 18, 2016 The Lady Tigers played against Nassau CC. Queensborough CC won the match scoring 3 - 0.
