Samantha Barrett led the way with a game-high eight kills on 17 attempts and had two service aces. Karolina Gajda had six kills on 19 attempts while Taylor Kordich and Lucia Stosic both had five kills. Kristine Ciurcina and Taylor Kordich combined for all 34 of Hunter's assists. Ciurcina had a game-high 21 and Kordich added 13. Alisa Jaganjac led the defensive effort with 12 digs.
"We were able to utilize most of our squad today using a 6-2 format which gave us more options offensively," said Hunter's head coach Val Lang. "The diversity of our hitters also made it harder on our opponents to play defense. Our serves were consistent and our passing also showed progress. We have also identified some areas to improve, so we have some homework to do until we face York at home next Tuesday."
The Hawks improve to 3-5 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Hunter will host York on Tuesday, September 17 at 6:00 p.m. For more information, please visit www.huntercollegeathletics.com.

The Dolphins earned a split in each of its tri-match doubleheaders. All five of the Dolphins matches this season have been on the road and CSI will not play a home game until 9/19. One of the reasons is due to renovations to the College's Sports & Recreation Center. CSI has been practicing off-campus as well.
