CUNYAC/Con Edison Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week
Jon Peter Sardea, York

Jon Peter Sardea has been named the CUNYAC/Con Edison Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of 1/28 – 2/3. In a match against NJCU, the junior recorded one ace, 33 assists and five digs. The Guam native then played four matches in two days and registered five aces, four kills, 89 assists, 15 digs, and two blocks in four wins during this span. The following day, the Cardinals’ swept Keuka and Sarah Lawrence and the setter recorded three aces, two kills, 52 assists and 10 digs. For the week, Sardea recorded over 20 assists in 6 of his 7 matches and surpassed 30 assists in two matches. York started the season 6-1 and will look to continue its dominant play.
CUNYAC/Con Edison Men’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Scott Standring, Baruch
Setter/Freshman/Moraga, CA/Campolindo
Scott Standring has been named the CUNYAC/Con Edison Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week for the week of 1/28 – 2/3. The setter averaged 0.46 aces, 0.77 kills, 9.54 assists, 1.92 digs and 0.15 blocks per set. In a win over #7 ranked Rivier, the freshman recorded four aces, 42 assists and four digs in four sets. He then followed this performance registering 34 assists and six digs in a win over Endicott. In a five set thriller against MIT, the California native picked up a career-high 48 assists and 15 digs. Baruch went a perfect 4-0 for the week and is currently ranked #8 in the latest AVCA Division III Top 15 Coaches Poll.
