2026 CUNYAC Preseason Poll/Players to Watch
CUNYAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week
Derick Aboagye-Frimpong, York (So., M, Kumasi, Ghana)
Aboagye-Frimpong totaled five goals and two assists for 12 points in York’s 9-0 victory over Gallaudet on Friday. He scored on five of his nine shots and placed eight attempts on goal while contributing to seven of the Cardinals’ nine tallies.
CUNYAC Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week
Shackoneal Myrurrie, Medgar Evers (Fr., F)
Myrurrie recorded a hat trick and added an assist to lead Medgar Evers to a 5-3 comeback victory over St. Joseph’s Brooklyn. With the Cougars trailing 3-1, the rookie scored just before halftime and added two second-half goals as Medgar Evers rallied for the win. He also added a goal in a win against Five Towns Saturday for a four-goal week.
CUNYAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Josh Clemas, John Jay (Sr., F, Auckland, New Zealand)
Clemas scored three goals and added an assist during a 2-0 week for John Jay. He recorded two goals and an assist in a 4-1 victory over Merchant Marine on Wednesday, then scored the opening goal in the Bloodhounds’ 2-0 win against Centenary (N.J.) on Saturday.
