NEW YORK – Baruch is the choice of the CUNY Athletic Conference men's soccer coaches to take first place in the regular season as the league released its 2025 preseason coaches' poll Tuesday afternoon.
The Bearcats, who finished third in a tight race at the top in 2024 with a 4-1-2 record, received five of the eight first place votes and 46 total points.
Two other teams received first place votes and tied for second in the poll. Lehman, which finished tied for the top spot in the regular season standings and reached the CUNYAC final, picked up a pair of first place votes and tallied 40 points. Hunter, which won the 2024 CUNYAC tournament championship as the No. 6 seed, earned the other first place vote and also recorded 40 points.
John Jay and Brooklyn tied for fourth overall, each collecting 28 points, followed by last season's regular season champion, CCNY with 23 points. York (10) and Medgar Evers (9) rounded out the poll.
One Player to Watch from each team was also announced Tuesday afternoon.
The 2025 CUNYAC Men's Soccer Championship begins with a pair of first round contests on Wednesday October 29, followed by the conference semifinals on Saturday, November 1. The championship game is set for Saturday, November 8 at 2:30 pm at York College in a doubleheader with the women's soccer championship game earlier that day.

Players to Watch
Diego Sachun, Baruch - A junior midfielder for the Bearcats, Sachun started 11 games and appeared in 14 last season, totaling a goal and an assist. He has played in 28 contests over his first two seasons at Baruch.
Adam Moharam, Brooklyn - A Second Team All-Star last season, Moharam, a junior midfielder, started all 16 matches he played in and totaled a goal and five assists. He has started 27 games and appeared in 32 over his first two seasons for the Bulldogs.
Konstantinos Psomaras, CCNY - A sophomore forward, Psomaras is expected to have an impact for the Beavers after seeing limited time as a freshman in 2024.
Leonardo Kaplan, Hunter - A sophomore midfielder, Kaplan saw the field 12 times in his rookie campaign for the CUNYAC champs in 2024, totaling a goal and an assist while making eight total starts.
Davio Rossilevin, John Jay - Rossilevin, a sophomore goalkeeper from France, Rossilevin played in 11 games (nine starts) for the Bloodhounds as a rookie in 2024, finishing with a 1.34 goals-against average, .803 save percentage and four shutouts.
Gabriel Arful, Lehman - A sophomore defender, Arful saw action in 16 games for the Lightning last season, appearing in the starting lineup 14 times. He helped the Lehman backline allow just 22 goals in 17 games.
Taye Simon, Medgar Evers - Simon, a senior midfielder, started all 14 games he played in in 2024. He tallied a goal and three assists for the Cougars.
Ernest Bawilliam, York - Bawilliam started all nine games in which he appeared in as a freshman forward last season, finishing the season with 13 total shots.
