NEW YORK - Top-seeded John Jay and No. 3 seed CCNY advanced to the finals of the 2025 CUNY Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Championship with semifinal victories Saturday afternoon.
The Bloodhounds reached their sixth straight final with a 9-0 victory over No. 4 seed Lehman. The Beavers advanced to the final for the first time since their conference title in 2023 with a 2-0 triumph at second-seeded Brooklyn.
John Jay and CCNY will meet in the championship game on Saturday, November 8 at York College.

The Bloodhounds (10-2-3) set a single-game championship record for goals in a game, scoring eight times after intermission to dispatch the Lightning (1-13).
Ava Lopez finished with a hat trick for John Jay and added an assist, while
Emma Fisher finished with two goals and an assist.
Katy Shurson,
Natalie Mack,
Lillith Eaton and
Annmarie Russo each added single tallies for the Bloodhounds.
Priana Lazerson finished with two assists as 10 different John Jay players recorded a point.
Lightning goalie
Katelyn Rice made 22 saves, while
Anina Gut and
Gianna Duarte combined for the shutout for John Jay.

City College (4-7-3) scored two goals just under 12 minutes apart in the second half to down the second-seeded and host Bulldogs (4-11-1).
In the 66th minute,
Marjorie Placencia put the Beavers on the board with her fourth goal of the season. At the 77:02 mark,
Sara Dos Santos scored off a feed from
Sara Rodriguez to make it 2-0.
CCNY outshot Brooklyn 10-5 in the contest, with Beaver goalie
Laila Issa recording three saves en route to the shutout. Brooklyn keeper
Sage Bernstein recorded four stops. The Beavers had five of the game's six corner kicks.
