NEW YORK- John Jay has earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming 2025 CUNY Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Championship.
This year's championship field is set, with the semifinals set for Saturday, November 1 at higher seeds and the final slated for Saturday, November 8 at York College.
The Bloodhounds (9-2-3, 4-0 CUNYAC) captured their fifth regular season championship in six seasons. The Bloodhounds will host No. 4 seed Lehman (1-12, 1-3 CUNYAC) in one semifinal. Next Saturday's other semifinal features No. 2 seed Brooklyn (5-10, 2-1-1) hosting No. 3 CCNY (3-8-2, 2-1-1). The tie between the Bulldogs and Beavers was broken by conference tiebreak criteria, with Brooklyn +4 in goal margin in conference matches in goal margin (9 goals scored, 5 allowed), while CCNY was +2 (7 scored, 5 allowed).
The Bloodhounds are the defending tournament champions and going for their fifth title in six seasons.
