2024 CUNYAC Women's Soccer All-Star Awards and Team Announced

FLUSHING, N.Y. - The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) announced its women's soccer All-Star Awards and All-Star Team for 2024 recently.

John Jay's Olivia Boucher was voted the conference's Player of the Year.  Lehman's Emily Huerta was tabbed as the Rookie of the Year, while John Jay head coach Ajani Clunie was selected as the Coach of the Year.

Boucher, a graduate student transfer, led the Bloodhounds and the conference in scoring with 24 goals and six assists for 54 points.  The MVP of the CUNYAC Women's Soccer Championship after recording a pair of hat tricks, Boucher ranks seventh nationally in total goals and No. 2 in goals per game (1.41) while leading John Jay's offense that is currently No. 4 nationally in Division III averaging 3.88 goals per game.

Huerta tallied 16 goals and 16 assists for 48 points in her first season with the Lightning in 2024.  Her 16 assists are second in the CUNYAC and rank No. 5 nationally while her 16 goals trail only Boucher in the conference while tied with teammate Lory Castro.  Huerta finished with four game-winning goals on the season.

Clunie earned Coach of the Year honors for the third time in his career and third time in four seasons, as he won the award in back-to-back 2021 and 2022 seasons.  This year he guided John Jay to a perfect 5-0 CUNYAC record and the program's fourth CUNYAC tournament title in five seasons.  The Bloodhounds finished 10-6-1 overall.
