BRONX, N.Y. – Hunter College won its 10
th straight CUNYAC women’s cross country championship as the 2024 CUNYAC Women’s Cross Country Championship was contested at Van Cortlandt Park Sunday morning.
For Hunter, it marks the program’s conference-record 21
st overall women’s cross country championship. Hunter finished with 28 points as it placed five runners in the top 10.
John Jay (68) finished second, followed by Baruch (99), Medgar Evers (99), CCNY (99) and Brooklyn (107).
Baruch’s
Paz Moran was the CUNYAC individual champion for the second straight year, winning with a 6K time of 26:04.1, 17.5 seconds ahead of Hunter’s
Wendy Montiel.
Behind Montiel,
Shannon Ferri was fourth for the Hawks with a time of 28.07.2.
Touka Medjoubi (28:11.3, 5
th),
Mikaelle Cesar (28:26.5, 6
th) and
Samantha Suriel (28:29.6, 7
th) all finished inside the top 10.
The Bloodhounds had three runners finished inside the top 12 en route to their runner-up showing.
Andrea Posada came home eighth with a time of 28:45.8, with
Skylah Nix coming in 11
th at 29:45.4.
Heavenly Evangelista finished 12
th with a time of 30:10.5.

Kenia Irish-Bramble placed third with a time of 27:26.3.
Norma Flores of CCNY came in ninth with a 28:52.3 effort, with Lehman’s
Arlene Suzana running a time of 29:07.4 to round out the top 10.
