Mohamed Gueye had a monster week on both ends of the floor for the Bearcats, leading Baruch to a pair of non-conference wins to close out the 2022 calendar year. In the squad’s victory over Goucher, the forward produced a game-high 17 points to go along with nine rebounds, two assists and a career-high seven blocks. The following day against Rutgers-Camden, Gueye posted a double-double of 12 points and 15 rebounds to go along with four assists and four more blocked shots.
CUNYAC/Healthfirst Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week

Richar Frias put together a solid week for the Cougars at the annual Dr. Carol V. Decosta/Go 4 the Goal Tournament. The rookie finished with a season-high 13 points along with two rebounds, three assists and two steals. Closing out the slate against Misericordia, Frias finished with nine points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal.
The 2023 CUNYAC Men’s Basketball Championship is scheduled to begin on Saturday, Feb. 18 with first round action at higher seeds, followed by semifinal contests at higher seeds on Tuesday, Feb. 21. The final is slated for Friday, Feb. 24 at CCNY.
