FLUSHING, N.Y. (Aug. 31, 2022) – The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) released its annual preseason coaches' poll for the 2022 women's soccer season, and John Jay was chosen as the favorite, as voted upon by the league's head coaches.
The Bloodhounds were chosen to repeat as conference champions for a third consecutive season, tallying 35 points and five first-place votes. John Jay went 9-6 overall in 2021, highlighted by an unblemished 4-0 record against conference opponents.

Katie Healy was voted Preseason Player of the Year. A First Team All-Star last season, the team captain played every minute of the year for the Bloodhounds, finishing with nine goals and six assists for 24 points.
CCNY finished second in the poll with 31 points, including one first-place vote. Lehman, the 2021 runner-up, finished third with 22 points, followed by Brooklyn (19), York (13) and Medgar Evers (6).
The 2022 CUNYAC Women's Soccer Championship is scheduled to begin with semifinal action on Saturday, Oct. 29 and will conclude with the final on Saturday, November 5 at Brooklyn College.
