Brooklyn, NY-----Announced by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) on Wednesday, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team was given a Special Mention with the organization's release of their annual Top 25 Academic Team Honor Roll. College programs around the nation made the cut earning a 3.0 team GPA and better. The Bulldogs closed out the 2021-22 academic year with a 3.417 GPA.
Consistently one of the best programs academically at Brooklyn across the board, four members of the team were recently named City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Scholar Athletes for earning a 3.2 GPA or better. Graduate forward, Chanel Jemmott, led the way with a 3.775 GPA while pursuing her master's degree in Business Administration.
On the court, the 2021-22 Bulldogs were just as consistent, turning in a historical season that turned in the program's second straight CUNYAC Championship and first ever win in the NCAA Tournament.
