FLUSHING, N.Y. (Feb. 6, 2018) - On Wednesday, the City University of New York Athletic Conference announced its annual women's swimming and diving year-end award recipients and All-Stars to close out the 2018-19 season.

Baruch's Yee Chung Phang was named the Performer of the Year. Staten Island's Alyssa Dunn won Diver of the Year honors. Hunter's Ariel Tsai and Michael Kokoszka received individual nods as the Rookie and Coach of the Year.

Performer of the Year - Yee Chung Phang, Sr, Baruch
Phang set the standard for all swimmers in the conference this season. A four-time CUNYAC Swimmer of the Week, Phang clocked the conference's top time across seven different events. She also won gold in three races at the CUNYAC Championships - the 100- (1:08.92) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:29.28) and 400 IM (4:51.17).

Diver of the Year - Alyssa Dunn, Sr, Staten Island
Dunn impressed on the board, winning the one-meter dive in two of her three regular-season conference meets. Her score of 179.60 points against Lehman led all divers in the league this year. She concluded the season with a second-place finish (165.50 points) in the same event at the CUNYAC Championships.

Rookie of the Year - Ariel Tsai, Fr, Hunter
Tsai, a four-time CUNYAC Rookie of the Week selection, led all freshmen in the conference in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle. Her respective times of 26.69 and 59.51 were tops amongst rookies in the league. Additionally, Tsai narrowly missed earning a medal at the CUNYAC Championships, placing fourth in the 100-free at 59.24.

Coach of the Year - Michael Kokoszka, Hunter
Kokoszka, who garners the honor for the second time in as many seasons, guided his team to a CUNYAC regular-season title for a second-straight year. His Hawks went a perfect 6-0 against league opposition, making him 12-0 in conference meets in just two seasons as head coach.
