With great fanfare, Brooklyn College has announced a new nickname for its intercollegiate athletic programs. Moving forward, the school will now be known as the Brooklyn Bulldogs.

During the Athletics Pep Rally held on the West Quad on Tuesday, school President Karen L. Gould announced the new team name and mascot and the Bulldogs was enthusiastically received by the BC community.
