A freshman striker on the Panthers women’s soccer team, EVELYN MENDEZ led BMCC to a 2-0 week with back-to-back blowouts over Westchester (8-0) and Rockland (7-0) tallying six goals and four assists. In BMCC’s first six games, the Newtown High School product scored an amazing 19 goals and passed for 10 assists, to rank in the top ten in the Nation in scoring. BMCC (3-3 overall) looks to get to the top half of the Region XV standings this week with games against Suffolk-Grant CC and Nassau CC.
