A New Utrecht High School alumnus, Kathy Salcedo is flourishing in her second season for the Cougars, helping to lead the team to a 3-3 overall mark following a 2-0 week. In the team’s first CUNYAC game of the season, Medgar Evers topped John Jay, 6-2, behind a hat-trick and an assist by Salcedo. In non-conference action, the Brooklynite added another goal and an assist in a 6-3 win. MEC will face Purchase, NYU-Poly and John Jay again this week.
