A 5’9” infielder, Nick Catalano is providing consistency at the top of head coach Dan Palumbo’s lineup with at least one hit in all five games last week for the Bloodhounds, who struggled to a 1-4 mark for the week. His batting average of .450 for the week was bolstered by a 3-5 performance with a double and a run batted in against Manhattanville College. He finished the week with a pair of hits in John Jay’s 5-2 win at home versus Staten Island for their first CUNYAC loss of the season. On the year Catalano, a St. Peter’s High School alumnus is hitting .350.
