Baruch College (22-2, 9-0 CUNYAC) is streaking, with 14 consecutive wins in a row and stands as the #4 ranked team in Division III by the AVCA. Last week, besides a dominating CUNYAC victory over Medgar Evers, the Bearcats beat Philadelphia Biblical (#7 AVCA) and Newbury in straight sets, and defeated their second Division I program this season, Sacred Heart in five competitive games. In three matches (11 games) junior middle blocker Eryk Kowalski was outstanding with 33 kills, 16 blocks and seven digs. The 6’6” native of Zabno, Poland hit .500 with only four errors to 33 kills on 58 attacks. For the season he’s hitting .347 and averaging 1.5 blocks for the defending champions.
