As one of the top freshman in the Conference, Eric Klingsberg continues to excel for the Hunter College Hawks, earning his third CUNY Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week this season. The Hawks (10-13, 6-5 CUNYAC) went 2-0 in conference play this week, dropping only a non-conference game despite a 22 point, five assist performance by Klingsberg in a four-point loss to Connecticut College. Klingsberg’s 21-point, three steal, three assist effort aided the Hawks in their 82-68 win over City Tech, including a 6-for-7 effort from the free throw line. His nine points against Lehman proved to be valuable, as the Hawks defeated the Lightning 73-71 in overtime for an important conference victory. Klingsberg is averaging 15.4 points per game, while shooting an impressive 80.2% (101-126) from the free throw line.
