The Player of the Week is a familiar name, Richard Jean-Baptiste of Brooklyn College. With conference play underway, the reigning CUNY Athletic Conference Player of the Year led the Bulldogs (7-5; 3-1 CUNYAC South) to wins over City Tech, 87-71, and Medgar Evers, 80-72.
For the week, he averaged 26 points and seven rebounds while playing in just 28 minutes in each game.
At City Tech, Jean-Baptiste scored 24 points with seven rebounds.
Against Medgar Evers, he made ten of his 13 field goal attempts, recording 28 points. He added seven rebounds and three steals to round out his performance.
For the season, he is fourth in the CUNY Athletic Conference in scoring with 18.9 points per game, shooting almost 47 percent.
This week, Brooklyn faces John Jay on Wednesday and Hunter College on Saturday.
