Against East Conn, Evelyn had a monster game, scoring a career-high 31 points. He made 12 of his 18 shots from the field, including five of eight from three-point range. Eveyln scored 17 points in the final seven minutes of the first half, capping a run that put York out front for good.
Against the host CNU Captains, the senior led all scorers for the second straight night with 23 points, including seven makes from behind the arc. For his efforts, he was named the Shootout’s Most Valuable Player.
York has now won three straight games, and six of its last seven. Up next for the Cardinals is a Wednesday date at Medgar Evers before heading to face CSI on Friday.
