Garnering Swimmer of the Week honors is York’s Averie Mohammed, who led the Cardinals to a sweep of Old Westbury 107-89 and the College of New Rochelle 58-48 last week. York is now 2-2 on the season, including 0-1 in the CUNY Athletic Conference.
In the tri-meet held at York, Mohammed claimed gold twice, and silver once in her three races. She won the 50-yard freestyle in 28.46 and the 100-free in 1:03.04. In her final event, the 50-yard butterfly, she placed second in 32.63.
The Cardinals will take to the pool tonight, November 23, hosting CUNY Athletic Conference foe Baruch College at 6:00 p.m.
