Katelyn began her collegiate career with a bang, earning CUNY Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week honors. Staten Island (1-2; 0-0 CUNYAC) won the season opener, a 75-58 victory over New Jersey City University, before finishing fourth in the Amherst College Tip-Off Tournament. The Dolphins lost to Western Connecticut 87-59 and FDU–Florham 90-89 in double overtime.
At NJCU, Hepworth scored nine points but added a game-high 14 rebounds, including seven offensive, four assists and a pair of blocks. Against WestConn in the opener at Amherst, she posted two points, two steals, three assists and six rebounds. In the double-overtime thriller against FDU–Florham, she made good for ten points and eight rebounds, while adding four steals, four assists, and two blocked shots.
CSI travels to Ramapo College in Mahwah, N.J., on Tuesday for a 6:00 p.m. tilt.
