Tammer Farid is this week’s CUNY Athletic Conference Player of the Week, as he led the Baruch Bearcats (3-1, 0-0 CUNYAC) to a 71-59 win over SUNY Farmingdale. Farmingdale advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Championships a year ago. Baruch never trailed in the contest, and led by as many as 16.
Farid was one of four Bearcats to record double-digits in scoring, pouring in a game-high 23 on seven-of-12 shooting. He made four of his six three-pointers, and all five free throws. His three-pointer with just three minutes into the game gave the Bearcats a lead they would never relinquish.
Next up for Baruch is a Tuesday game against Medgar Evers.
