The women’s Rookie of the Week Award goes to Sara Pazmino of York College. The Cardinals are 0-2 on the season, but the freshman shined in both losses. In a 105-93 loss to Mount St. Mary, Pazmino finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:19.98. This is the second fastest time in conference this season. She also placed second in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:38.26.
Against Hunter, a 53-42 loss, she placed first in both of her races. In the 200-yard freestyle, a time of 2:24.76 earned her the top billing, while her personal best of 1:19.46 in the 100-yard breaststroke earned her another first place finish on the day.
