Nikolay Shevchenko continues to dominate as he earns Men’s Swimmer of the Week honors. Shevchenko has led the Dolphins to a 2-0 record so far this season. In his first meet, a 141-77 victory over Division II Pace University, Shevchenko raced three times with three first place finishes. In his first race, the 1,000-yard freestyle, he finished with a time of 9:56.99. In the 100-yard butterfly, Shevchenko finished with a time of :52.37, while in the 500-free he had a time of 4:55.93.
In the Dolphins’ second meet, a 117-106 victory over CUNY Athletic Conference rival Baruch, Shevchenko again raced three times and earned three first place finishes. In the 200-yard freestyle he finished with a time of 1:46.93. A time of :52.63 earned him first place in the 100-yard fly, and in the 500-yard freestyle he finished in 5:03.35.
