Hunter College swept a pair of conference games this week on the back of Oscar Dotti, this week’s Brine® Player of the Week. Dotti scored a pair of goals to lead the Hawks (4-7-1; 4-2 CUNYAC) to a 2-0 win over Medgar Evers and a 1-0 defeat of John Jay.
Against Medgar Evers, Dotti had the insurance goal in the 82nd minute, thwarting the MEC comeback. He took an easy pass from Anthony Intrabartolo and tapped the ball gently into a wide open goal. Against John Jay, he knocked in the game-winning goal as he headed in a corner kick in the 47th minute. Hunter had carried play for the majority of the game, only to be thwarted time and time again by the Bloodhounds.
Dotti now has three goals on the season, and has helped the Hawks to a three-game win streak. Hunter, at 4-2 in the CUNY Athletic Conference, is in third place.
