It was a busy week for Lehman College this week, who went 3-3. However, Gerri-Ann Martin had a stellar week, and earns CUNYAC Player of the Week honors. The Lightning (6-7; 3-2 CUNYAC) lost 3-0 to CCNY, beat Maritime 3-1, swept St. Joe’s of Brooklyn 3-0, lost to Kean 3-0, fell to Farmingdale 3-2 and beat Brooklyn College 3-0. Martin hit .325 on the week, with 70 kills in 21 games.
Against CUNYAC leaders CCNY, Martin hit .357 on 11 kills while adding 13 digs. During a tri-match with Maritime and St. Joe’s, she posted twelve kills, seven service aces and eight digs. At the Kean Invitational, she recorded double-digit kills in each match, highlighted by a 21 kill performance against Farmingdale.
